Well, here I am sitting in the airport getting ready to head back to Mountain Home. Tomorrow morning we will leave our friends’ house and embark on a seven day journey to our new home in Dayton, Ohio. This is a little scary and exciting, because neither myself or Holly have ever set foot in the entire state of Ohio.
But first things were first, and we were fortunate enough to have a fantastic trip home for three weeks. This trip was rewarding and refreshing. I’m happy to report I saw more things and more people than I hoped. A recap!
Also had the opporunity to pick up my brother Ryan at the airport coming back from his deployment, and attend a Mariners game with the best seats I’ve ever had (Thanks Christina!)
Reunions abounded when I reunited with all the Rubino brothers for the first time, went to Deception Pass with my sweet in-laws, and went to dinner and the boardwalk with Holly, Brianna, and Sara.
I went to a drive-in movie for the first time…
…and went to Ape Cave! (My mom hates this pic…)
Then came a wonderful Portland reunion and, finally, one more Mariners game.
It’s hard to leave friends, family, and places like that. But as we board the plane here in a few minutes, I’m thankful for what I have and I’m looking forward to the net phase of life’s journey. Thanks everyone in Washington and Portland for such a great time!
